England 4-0 Ukraine

This weekend the Three Lions headed into a quarter final tie they were expected to win.

For once, they actually won a knockout game they were expected to win and they did so quite comfortably.

Gareth Southgate’s side were in control throughout the tie.

An early goal from Harry Kane settled the English nerves, an excellent Raheem Sterling assist was crucial.

Just after the start of the second half Harry Maguire headed home to double the lead.

What a moment for the Reds’ skipper.

Jordan Henderson netted his first England goal in the game against Ukraine.

It was a fantastic header and plenty of credit has to go to the superlative cross from Mason Mount and the sloppy marking from the opposition.

The moment was a long time coming, particularly given the controversial warm up game moment which saw Hendo take a penalty from Dominic Calvert-Lewin which Hendo went on to miss.
