Liverpool are going to sell a number of players this summer. Michael Edwards has plenty of fringe players to move on in order to raise funds for incoming purchases. According to reports in Portugal, Porto have made signing Marko Grujic a priority.
Liverpool summer sales
This summer will see the squad trimmed extensively.
We expect Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri to be sold as they have failed to provide effective depth in the front line.
Meanwhile Harry Wilson is likely to move on after a series of successful loan moves.
Furthermore, Nat Phillips and Neco Williams are thought to be looking for moves in order to secure some well earned first team football.
Porto make Marko Grujic a priority
Another player who could be on the move is the Reds’ Serbian midfielder.
According to O Jogo, Porto have made signing Marko Grujic a priority.
The outlet has claimed that the player wants to stay with the Portuguese side and the club are determined to keep him after an impressive loan spell.
Liverpool are apparently asking for around £13m to complete the deal.
What RTK has to say
It’s time for Marko Grujic to get a permanent move.
He has impressed at a number of different clubs, if he’s going to fulfill his potential then he needs to stay somewhere a while.
If he can establish himself as a first team regular at Porto then he could kick on and become the player he always promised to be.
He’s got all of the potential, he just needs stable, regular football.
