Liverpool are in need of a striker. The Reds were lacklustre in front of goal last season and this needs remedying. For years we’ve had our eyes on one Frenchman in particular. Liverpool fans are ecstatic about news Kylian Mbappe will not extend his contract at PSG.
Kylian Mbappe superstar
Way back when Monaco had one of the most exciting teams in Europe, Kylian Mbappe burst onto the scene.
The then teenager wowed us all with his electric performances in the Champions League.
As a result the whole football world was talking about him.
PSG snapped him up for a monster fee and he’s been killing it ever since.
Last season he scored 42 goals in all competitions for PSG, further evidence that at just 22-years-old he is one of the world’s best.
Liverpool and Kylian Mbappe contract
For years the Reds have been linked with the French boy wonder.
Marca reported recently that Liverpool had contacted PSG about Kylian Mbappe.
Meanwhile Guillem Balague claimed that the Parisians would want £155m for the striker.
L’Equipe has now reported that Kylian Mbappe won’t extend his contract with PSG, meaning he could leave on a free transfer next summer.
This is possibly the only way Liverpool could afford a deal for the wonderkid.
He would command a significant signing on fee but it will be a pittance in comparison to what PSG could ask for his signature.
Fans have ran and ran with this one.
