Liverpool are in desperate need of a lethal forward. The Reds are shy of an out and out finisher. One man tops every Kopite’s wishlist. Fans may get their wish, Liverpool have reportedly enquired about Kylian Mbappe.
Kylian Mbappe superstar
Kylian Mbappe burst onto the scene as a teenager at Monaco.
He just kept scoring goals and he was an integral part of his side’s impressive Champions League run in 2016/17.
His persistent goals earned him a big money move away with PSG snapping him up for a record fee.
Last term the Frenchman netted 42 goals in all competitions.
He banged in 27 in the French Ligue 1, providing seven assists along the way.
Liverpool make Kylian Mbappe enquiry
For years the Reds have been linked with a move for France’s crown prince.
Marca has now reported that Liverpool have made an enquiry about Kylian Mbappe.
The report states that the Reds have contacted PSG to sound out a move but a transfer isn’t deemed likely as it stands.
This is because a swoop would hinge on Liverpool cashing in on one of the current front three. Guillem Balague has said PSG want £155m for the forward.
Although, a swap deal involving Mo Salah and/or Sadio Mane isn’t ruled out.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool moving for Kylian Mbappe would be the dream.
However, we’d need to raise a significant amount of cash first.
A swap deal seems the most feasible of all of the unlikely ways to make this happen.
Swapping a forward entering his 30s for the 22-year-old Mbappe would be a piece of genius.
