Liverpool are in the market for a striker this summer. The Reds have been goal shy in recent months and that needs remedying with movement in the transfer market. Liverpool could open talks with Alexander Isak now that he has left Euro 2020.

Who is Alexander Isak?

21-year-old striker Alexander Isak leads the line for Real Sociedad.

The Swedish forward stands at a towering 6ft 4in tall, making him an imposing figure up top.

Last season he netted 17 goals in La Liga for his side, registering two assists.

The youngster came through the ranks at AIK in Sweden before joining Borussia Dortmund.

He failed to establish himself in Germany, prompting a move to Sociedad.

This week saw Sweden eliminated from Euro 2020 by Ukraine.

The Swedes fell to a last minute header in extra time, a cruel way to go out.

Now that Isak is out of the tournament he should be available to discuss his future and undergo any medicals.

If the Reds are indeed interested then they’ll look to work fast given the competition for his signature.
