Lethal striker needed

Last season we saw the front three looking figured out.

The Reds struggled in front of goal as they persistently faced low blocks.

Furthermore, the lack of quality in depth meant that the boss was unable to rest and rotate his stars.

Fatigue thoroughly set in after Christmas with few chances created and many of them going begging.

The torrid title defence showed us just how desperately the Reds need to sign a lethal striker to mop up the half chances which are being wasted.

Liverpool target Alexander Isak

This summer has already seen plenty of strikers linked with the Reds.

Liverpool are reportedly targeting Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad. The forward netted 17 goals in the Spanish La Liga last season.

Mundo Deportivo recently reported that the Reds are one of a host of sides chasing the Swedish striker.

The outlet cites a fee of around £60m for the towering forward.

Reds need to act fast

Competition for the striker is thought to be heating up.

The 21-year-old is attracting attention from Real Madrid and Arsenal according to AS in Spain.

We don’t want to be embroiled in a bidding war or a prolonged transfer saga.

Liverpool need to act fast if they want to sign Isak, if we do indeed hold an interest in the striker then we can’t stand around and wait for others swoop in.
