Liverpool are going to have to sign a striker this summer. Jürgen Klopp needs a goal scorer to come in and take the weight off Mo Salah’s shoulders. Amid dozens of names being bandied about one Dutchman appears to be the more likely target. PSV Eindhoven manager Roger Schmidt has admitted reported Liverpool target Donyell Malen will be sold this summer.

Rise and rise of Donyell Malen
In August 2017 Malen left Arsenal to head back to his home country.
The Gunners let the prodigious striker go for just £200k.
Since returning to the Eredivisie he has gone from strength to strength and he is now an undroppable star for PSV.
Furthermore, he has shone on the international stage, putting in a string of impressive performances at Euro 2020 before the Dutch crashed out against the Czech Republic.
Last season he netted 19 goals in 26 starts and six sub appearances.
Liverpool target Donyell Malen leaving
This summer will likely see the striker get his big move.
SportBild has claimed the forward could be available for £21.5m.
Meanwhile Voetbal International previously stated that Liverpool are leading the race for Malen.
The player’s manager has admitted an exit is on the cards, telling NOS:
“It has been clear to me for some time that Donyell and Denzel are likely to leave. Actually last summer. I also take it into account and if they do stay, that is great. But we have to prepare ourselves that we will have to play without both next season.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Malen would be a clever move.
He’s just 22-years-old, he’s only going to get better and better.
Now that the coach has admitted a move is on the cards we can really get excited.
As long as we beat the competition we could have a new superstar on our hands.
