Liverpool are going to cash in on plenty of fringe players this summer. The Reds have a number of stars they can move on in order to fund moves for important buys. Michael Edwards is reportedly close to selling Liam Millar to Basel, some Kopites are buzzing with the news.
Liverpool fire sale
Last summer the Reds weren’t able to sell as many players as hoped.
The transfer market was quiet due to the financial impact of the pandemic.
As a result Michael Edwards will be selling more players than usual this summer.
Xherdan Shaqiri is being touted for a move with the Swiss international failing to live up to expectations when it comes to providing competition.
The same can be said for Divock Origi with the cult hero only showing up in the biggest games of the season and failing to do enough in between.
Meanwhile Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic are expected to make permanent moves after a series of loans.
Nat Phillips and Neco Williams could both be on their way out in pursuit of first team football.
Liam Millar to Basel
The Reds transfer business could be well underway.
According to the Liverpool ECHO, Liam Millar is set for a move to Basel.
The Reds have allegedly accepted a second bid from the Swiss side.
The fee is said to be seven figures, enough to tempt Liverpool into a sale when the initial plan had been to sort another loan move for the Canadian international.

Plenty of Kopites can’t believe we’ve raked in seven figures for a youngster with just 12 months left on his contract.
