Liverpool forward situation

This summer needs to see a forward signed.

This is because Jürgen Klopp is without an out and out striker and he’s without competition in the attacking lineup.

For four seasons the Liverpool attack has been without a challenge for places.

The arrival of Diogo Jota threatened to shake things up but injuries have limited his impact on the depth in the side.

The Reds need a forward to keep the attack on its toes.

For instance one man who could come in is a youngster who Jürgen Klopp wanted to become the next Sadio Mane.

Liverpool tried to sign Jeremy Doku in 2018. Het Nieuwsblad quoting the player’s father as saying that the Reds tried to convince the youngster with Steven Gerrard in attendance.

The winger opted to stay with Anderlecht and last summer joined Rennes in a £23m deal.

Now 19-years-old and impressing for club and country he could be targeted for a move in the near future.

This week he impressed with his dribbling ability as Belgium beat Finland 2-0 at Euro 2020.

Fans want Jeremy Doku

Kopites were impressed with the youngster’s display at the tournament with many seeing him as a potential signing. Some wanted him even before he lit up the main stage.
