Liverpool have a number of exciting young talents at the academy. Some are getting too good for youth football and aren’t quite ready for the Reds first team. As a result the club are sorting out their loans for next season. Twitter has reacted to Sepp van den Berg rejoining Preston North End for the season.
The Reds have been placing great emphasis on youth recruitment in recent years.
Vitor Matos was drafted into the academy set up in order to improve the connection between the academy ranks and the first team.
He has seen a number of talented youngsters signed, prior to his arrival Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg were brought in.
Since he’s been here Mateusz Musialowski, Melkamu Frauendorf and Kaide Gordon have joined to name just a few.
Sepp van den Berg loan to Preston
In February of last season the Reds were rushing around trying to solve the injury crisis at the back.
Ben Davies signed for a nominal fee whilst Sepp van den Berg joined Preston North End on loan in return.
The Dutchman impressed during his stint at Deepdale, the deal gave the second tier side first option on the youngster should they want to loan him for the 2021/22 season.
The Lilywhites have taken the Reds up on the offer, Sepp van den Berg will be at Preston North End this term.
