Liverpool are in dire need of a striker. Jürgen Klopp’s side has been short of goals of late and all the signs point towards a forward coming in over the summer. Liverpool must have a special signing in mind given that Leicester City appear set to sign Patson Daka unopposed.
Liverpool need a striker
The Reds’ front three has been together for four years now.
This is an abnormally long amount of time for an attacking lineup to stick together uninterrupted.
There has been no competition for places, no strength in depth to cover the lads.
The signing of Diogo Jota was expected to add this competition but the boss has often opted to start all four of them together.
Given that the goals dried up dramatically from January onwards we’re expecting a striker to come in over the summer.
Leicester City to sign Patson Daka
Our Premier League rivals are moving more rapidly sourcing goals.
According to The Telegraph, Leicester City are set to sign Patson Daka.
The Foxes are thought to be close to tying up a £30m move for the Zambian forward.
The Zambian netted an incredible 27 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
Liverpool striker lined up?
£30m for a player who scores as many goals as Patson Daka, at just 22-years-old, is a bargain.
The Reds passing on signing the youngster must surely mean the club has another target in mind.
Whoever it is that Michael Edwards is pondering a move for must someone special.
Daka fits the FSG profile perfectly, not signing him is surely an indicator of greater plans.
