President confirms: Liverpool sign Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

Liverpool are always looking to bolster the youth ranks with the next best thing. We’ve seen plenty of exciting youngsters added in recent years. It looks as though we’ve bagged another top prospect. Reports in Ghana have confirmed that Liverpool will sign Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Liverpool wonderkids signed

The past few years have seen a host of bright prospects signed.

On the back of winning the Champions League the Reds brought in Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg.

The following summer we saw Mateusz Musialowski join along with Melkamu Frauendorf and Marcelo Pitaluga.

In January the club bagged Kaide Gordon and Calum Scanlon among others.

These additions have greatly strengthened the academy sides and should save us millions down the line.

Liverpool sign Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

For weeks there have been conflicting reports over one African wonderkid in particular.

Raphinha, Coutinho and Tielemans: The signings Liverpool could make this summer

The 17-year-old Ghanaian was named MVP of the latest U20s AFCON tournament.

FootballGhana has now reported that Steadfast FC president Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has confirmed that he has made ‘over €1m’ selling Issahaku to Liverpool.

Indeed the report goes on to say that Liverpool have signed Issahaku for £1.5m.

The Reds have snapped him up on a five-year-deal and have agreed to loan him to Sporting Lisbon.

What RTK has to say

After weeks of to-ing and fro-ing we’ll take this as confirmation.

The Reds have bagged another top talent now it’s just about getting him a work permit.

Hopefully he earns enough points playing in Portugal. Whatever points means.

We look forward to seeing the wonderkid in Red in the future.
