Liverpool are going to be a man light in midfield this summer. The Reds have lost a key component of their lineup and Jürgen Klopp will be hoping for reinforcements. Reports in Italy have claimed Liverpool are eyeing up Pascal Gross at Brighton.

Liverpool lose Gini Wijnaldum
This summer will see Gini Wijnaldum sign for PSG.
The Dutch midfielder will be leaving Liverpool as an Anfield icon.
He played nearly every Premier League game every season he was at the club.
Often popping up for us just when we need him, he has written himself indelibly into Liverpool folklore.
Given his importance to the side on and off the pitch he will need replacing urgently.
If we don’t bring in a successor then we’ll likely see Curtis Jones given an increased role.
Liverpool target Pascal Gross
There have been a number of players suggested as potential replacements for Gini.
Surprisingly, Liverpool have been linked with Pascal Gross.
Tuttomercatoweb has claimed that he is ‘in the sights’ of Jürgen Klopp after impressing for Brighton.
The 30-year-old German midfielder assisted eight and scored three for Graham Potter’s side last season.
What RTK has to say
We cannot see this one happening in a million years.
Pascal Gross is a decent footballer but he isn’t at Liverpool’s standard and his age is another major factor.
We didn’t keep Gini Wijnaldum on because he was entering his 30s, why would be replace him with another 30-year-old who isn’t as good?
Just where Tuttomercatoweb have got this one from is beyond us, this is even less believable than the Aaron Ramsey rumour.
