Scotland 0-2 Czech Republic

In Scotland’s first performance in a men’s major finals for 23 years the lads were disappointing.

Andy Robertson led his country out and stood out throughout the game but his teammates couldn’t match his level.

Patrik Schick netted a pair of wonderful goals to win the game.

In the first half he nodded home impressively, rising above the Scottish defence.

On the 52 minute mark Schick netted from near the halfway line, looping the ball over a horribly out of position David Marshall.

The score line didn’t do Scotland justice with plenty of chances created.

Unfortunately, good opportunities went begging with Lyndon Dykes particularly wasteful.

Andy Robertson v Czech Republic

WhoScored awarded Andy Robertson a 7.69 for his performance against the Czech Republic.

The captain was a constant threat when on the ball.

His crossing was sublime, he put 15 into the box over the course of the game.

The Reds full back also made six key passes and completed three dribbles.

Truth be told he deserved more from the game and his teammates let him down on the big occasion.

If they can continue to get their captain on the ball then they may still stand a chance of getting out of the group.
