Liverpool are in desperate need of a forward. The Reds need a shake up in the front three and there are a few players perpetually linked. One such player has got his teammates talking. Kalvin Phillips has heaped praise on reported Liverpool target Jadon Sancho.
Front three replacements
The Reds’ attacking trio are heading into their 30s. Therefore, it’s time to start considering a succession plan.
We can’t be caught out by this down the line, the club need to start folding in the next attacking force.
This season showed us that the Premier League has begun to figure out Jürgen Klopp’s trident.
We were woeful in front of goal from January onwards, further highlighting the urgent need for a forward to come in.
Kalvin Phillips on Liverpool target Jadon Sancho
This week The Athletic reiterated Liverpool interest in Jadon Sancho in the outlet’s The Radar roundup.
The winger is electrifying and his teammates at England are well aware of that. Kalvin Phillips has praised the Dortmund youngster, telling the Official England Podcast:
“I think you know, the first time I came in, Jadon Sancho was just unbelievable, he was just dribbling towards people just to dribble past them, he has amazing skill and he’s got a very good technique with the way he dribbles with the ball.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool likely can’t afford Jadon Sancho this summer, not unless we sell one of the front three.
We appear set to lose out to Manchester United’s limitless funds this time around.
Much like Kalvin Phillips, we are huge fans of the youngster, it’s going to be a bitter pill to swallow seeing him at Old Trafford.
