Report: Liverpool could snap up Jadon Sancho for free in 2023

This summer is going to be a busy one in the transfer market. After a relatively restrained window this time last year big clubs could be spending big. However, one man not getting a move could benefit the Reds in the long term. Liverpool could snap up Jadon Sancho for free in 2023 if he doesn’t move this summer.

Jadon Sancho stats

It is easy to understand the hype around Jadon Sancho.

The 21-year-old winger has been posting some ridiculous numbers in recent years.

This season saw the Englishman net eight in the Bundesliga and assist 12.

Last term he netted 17 and assisted 17 in a phenomenal campaign for the young man.

The season before he banged in 12 and set up 18, given that he only turned 21-years-old in March it’s hard to believe he was so prolific at such a young age.

Liverpool target Jadon Sancho for free?

There has been plenty of talk about Manchester United pursuing a deal for the winger.

The Red Devils worked all through last summer to bring him to Old Trafford but they wouldn’t meet Borussia Dortmund’s valuation.

According to The Athletic’s The Radar, the German giants will accept €90m (£77.5m) this summer.

However, the report adds that if he doesn’t secure a move away this year he would prefer to leave as a free agent in 2023.

What RTK has to say

Liverpool signing Jadon Sancho on a free would be a remarkable piece of business.

However, we aren’t optimistic. Man United seem intent on bringing him back to the Premier League before the start of the season.

The Reds simply cannot compete with the transfer budget at Old Trafford.

Hopefully we pull off another Mo Salah move and bring in a less obvious target who goes on to light up the Premier League.
