Gareth Southgate has confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold has picked up a suspected thigh injury on England duty. Fans are devastated.
Injury hit season

We’ve seen our superstar squad torn apart by injuries from day one of the campaign.
Over the summer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered a knee problem which kept him out of the opening months.
Then came the season ending injuries for Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, meanwhile Thiago and Diogo Jota spent a months each on the sidelines.

Joel Matip was also ruled out for the season in January, Jordan Henderson suffered the same fate not long afterwards.
It seems as though the end of the club season hasn’t been enough to close the floodgates.
Trent Alexander-Arnold injury for England
This week saw the Three Lions play their first warm up game ahead of the Euros.
Gareth Southgate’s side edged past Austria at the Riverside stadium.
The big story from the game was Trent Alexander-Arnold picking up an injury on England duty.
The Scouser was forced off near the end of the game.
Gareth Southgate has since said he thinks that Trent has picked up a thigh injury. We’ll know more in the next day or two.
At the moment he seems likely to miss the Euros.
