The Euros are just over the horizon and teams are warming up for the big occasion. A number of friendlies were played this week and there was some disappointment for Liverpool stars. Neco Williams was given a harsh red card as Wales took on France.

International friendlies
Three fixtures yesterday featured Liverpool players.
Scotland took on the Netherlands and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Reds left back Andy Robertson was in fine form as he captained his country to the impressive result.
Meanwhile Gini Wijnaldum played the first half an hour and bagged an assist during that time.
Trent Alexander-Arnold featured for England and worryingly limped off near the end of the game with an injury which could keep him out of the Euros.
Elsewhere Wales took on France with Harry Wilson and Neco Williams featuring in a 3-0 defeat.
Neco Williams red card v France
Wales v France saw a pretty awful decision from the referee.
In the 24th minute the referee emerged from his VAR viewing hub to send off a Welshman.
Neco Williams was shown a red card and France were awarded a penalty.
In a goalmouth scramble Karim Benzema fired at Neco Williams from close range and, protecting his face, the youngster’s arms were struck by the ball.
He had no time to react and the handling was clearly not intentional.
Furthermore, it benefits nobody to send him off so early in a warm up game.
Yet the referee showed Neco Williams a red card anyway. It was nonsense.
