Carlo Ancelotti departure

There was a sense of optimism in the air when Carlo Ancelotti took over Everton in December 2019.

The move was seen as a massive coup for the club.

His appointment was followed by high profile signings such as James Rodriguez and Allan.

His first half a season was promising, his first full season started brightly then tapered off.

However, there was always a sense that he just needed another summer transfer window.

As a result, fans will be gutted to learn that Carlo Ancelotti is expected to take over Real Madrid in the coming days.

There’s a sibling rivalry between Everton and Liverpool, at least some of think that still.

Personally, I’m not against it as long as he ends up in the Anfield dugout eventually.
