Liverpool are going to have to sort the centre of defence out over the summer. The Reds have struggled since the start of the campaign and they now have a few months to make sure they don’t face the same issues again. According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are unlikely to sign Ozan Kabak permanently.

Ozan Kabak arrival
The winter transfer window was a crazy one for the Reds.
Many expected the club to bring in a centre back as soon as the window opened but instead there was inaction.
The club waited and waited and then Joel Matip, the last centre back standing, was also ruled out for the season.
As a result the Reds moved swiftly on the final day, signing Ben Davies from Preston North End.
Liverpool also signed Ozan Kabak on loan from Schalke with the Reds retaining an £18m option to buy him permanently.
Liverpool won’t sign Ozan Kabak
The Turkish centre back’s future is very much up in the air.
Liverpool are expected to sign Ibrahima Konate at some point in the near future.
The French centre half’s impending arrival has cast doubt over whether the Reds will exercise the option to make Kabak’s move permanent.
According to Fabrizio Romano, it is ‘unlikely’ that Liverpool sign the on loan star this summer.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool not signing the youngster would be an interesting decision.
The Turkey international has grown in stature and confidence in recent weeks.
However, we will always trust the recruitment team’s judgement on these matters.
If Konate is the business then Kabak’s departure won’t be felt too much.
