Liverpool are going to have to sign a midfielder this summer. This season we learned a harsh lesson about replacing outgoing players. With Gini Wijnaldum going we need a successor to come in. Liverpool should move for Ruben Neves with the Wolves star allegedly available for £35m.

Gini Wijnaldum departure
Liverpool are set to lose a club legend this summer.
Gini Wijnaldum, the man who has played more minutes in the Liverpool midfield under Jürgen Klopp than anybody else, is leaving us.
The Dutchman’s contract expires at the end of the season and the club were unwilling to hand him a lucrative extension due his turning 31-years-old this year.
Gini has been an integral part of the club’s success in the past five years, he will be sorely missed both on and off the pitch.
Signing a replacement for the midfielder is a matter of urgency.
Liverpool should sign Ruben Neves
The Reds have been linked with dozens of potential replacements for the Dutchman.
Yves Bissouma has emerged as a top target whilst links to Florian Neuhaus persist.
Liverpool should turn their attention to Ruben Neves at Wolves.
The 24-year-old Portugal star has been a vital cog in the Midlands side’s midfield for years now.
He’s gone from strength to strength, earning a reputation for netting spectacular long range goals.
He often dominates the midfield with his passing and ability to intercept opposition balls.
According to The Athletic, Wolves will sell him for just £35m this summer.
Liverpool shouldn’t think twice about moving for Ruben Neves at that price.
He is only going to get better with age, he’s already of first team quality as is.
Wolves fans will be furious to see him go for such a bargain fee, we need to take advantage before another top side does.
