Liverpool signing a striker this summer is inevitable. This season has thoroughly exposed how dire the need is for a lethal finisher to come into the side. Striker signing needed

The Liverpool front three have been together for four seasons, that isn’t normal.

Attacking trios are typically broken up due to age or a need for improvement.

The Reds’ trident has been lethal, meaning improvement hasn’t been necessary.

Furthermore they were all born within nine months of each other, meaning they’ve aged together as opposed to one of the three hitting the twilight of his career whilst another hits his peaks.

This season showed us that we need to change things up, we need a lethal striker to come in and at least challenge Roberto Firmino.

There are plenty of players being suggested as potential saviours of the Reds’ front line.

Donyell Malen at PSV and Dusan Vlahovic at Fiorentina have both been mentioned.

Liverpool have also been persistently linked with Patson Daka; Salzburger Nachrichten reported the Reds’ interest and cited a fee of £17m.

The 22-year-old Zambian striker has been a standout performer for Red Bull Salzburg this season.

His performances have been so good that he has scooped the Austrian Bundesliga Player of the Season award.

This comes as no surprise given that he’s scored 27 goals and assisted seven in 28 league games this term.

What RTK has to say

If the price is right then Patson Daka could be our man.

Liverpool need a lethal finisher and the Zambian clearly knows where the net is; the last young hitman to shine at Salzburg has turned out quite good – why should we miss out again?
