Liverpool have been to hell and back this season with injuries completely derailing the Reds’ title defence. Jürgen Klopp will need to bring in some reinforcements to avoid a repeat next season. One man the Reds were linked with last year could be on the move, Liverpool could land Emiliano Buendia for £40m according to The Athletic.

Liverpool linked with Emiliano Buendia
The Reds are often linked with the best and brightest.
Liverpool were rumoured to be in for Emiliano Buendia in January 2020.
The Daily Express reported that the club were interested in the Argentine and his teammate Todd Cantwell.
The interest didn’t materialise into something concrete but after an impressive season in the Championship – he’s netted 15 and assisted 16 this term – the Reds could well return for him.
Emiliano Buendia price tag
This summer will likely see Norwich cash in on Emiliano Buendia.
The playmaker has had another superb season for the Canaries and is coveted by a number of clubs.
According to The Athletic the newly promoted side will demand around £40m for their star creator.
Arsenal and Aston Villa are said to be interested but there is believed to be intent from abroad as well.
Liverpool should swoop
This summer could be the ideal time for Liverpool to swoop in for Emiliano Buendia.
The Reds need a creative force in the midfield who can pop up with a goal or two and we need to find some backup for Mo Salah.
Buendia’s goals and assists could be the perfect solution.
