Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has tonight issued a warning to the Reds’ rival clubs on social media.
The right-back was tweeting in the aftermath of his side securing Champions League football next season after a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season.
Liverpool ended up in third place against all odds after a Sadio Mane brace.
Alexander-Arnold, however, is already focused on next season.
He said: “Next year we’re coming back for trophies. Thank you for the support ’til the very end Reds. We always find a way.”
His tweet came hours after Manchester City lifted the Premier League title, officially ending Liverpool’s reign as champions.
Fans will be inspired to see these words from one of the youngest members of the squad. It will help everyone get excited for next season already.
Alexander-Arnold demonstrates the mentality that has taken him to the top
Alexander-Arnold’s tweet is the perfect example of the elite mentality that he possesses. Rather than taking time to enjoy his achievements of this season, the Scouser is immediately looking for improvement.
His words serve a dual purpose.
