Top four race

Finishing in the top four can make or break our summer.

The Reds need the money which comes with Champions League qualification in order to address problem areas in the squad.

If we want to finish in the top four then we need to win all four of our remaining games.

Should the Reds win their two games in hand over Chelsea and Leicester City then they’ll be a point behind the London side and three points behind the Foxes.

Manchester United injuries for Liverpool game

Both sides have plenty of fitness concerns going into the game.

Raphinha, Coutinho and Tielemans: The signings Liverpool could make this summer

The Reds have a number of absentees both old and new.

Ozan Kabak will miss the game with the same minor problem which kept him out of the visit from Southampton.

Whilst the boss has confirmed this week that Jordan Henderson won’t play again this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Manchester United will face Liverpool without Dan James and Harry Maguire.

James has been absent for the past two games and has failed to recover in time whilst Maguire limped off against Aston Villa at the weekend.

What RTK has to say

Maguire is the most impactful absentee for the hosts.

The defender’s prowess in the air was going to be a threat from set pieces and we no longer have to worry about that.

Although, I do feel somewhat disappointed that we don’t get to see a head-off between Nat Phillips and Harry Maguire.
