Liverpool’s academy is brimming with talent at the minute. The Reds have been recruiting from far and wide to make the youth sides more competitive and to develop the team of tomorrow. Despite the far reaching recruitment one of our brightest prospects is a Scouser and we’re set to keep him around a while longer. Twitter has reacted to news that Liverpool have given Layton Stewart a new contract which runs until 2025.

Mateusz Musialowski has arrived from SMS Lodz and has spent the season dazzling us with his dribbling ability.
Kaide Gordon has been with the club since January and has already netted for the U23s despite being just 16-years-old.

James Balagizi has been pulling the strings for the U18s and is considered one of the most promising players of his age group.
Layton Stewart is arguably the best forward prospect in the academy. The Scouser netted 15 goals in 10 games for the U18s this season before he was promoted to the U23s.
Unfortunately the 18-year-old’s season was cut short by a serious knee injury.

This week has finally seen some good news for the youngster.
The Scouser, likened to Fernando Torres due to his electric pace and finishing ability has signed a new deal with the Reds.
Liverpool have handed Layton Stewart a new contract which will keep him with his boyhood club until 2025.
Fans have been congratulating the Scouser and celebrating the deal on Twitter.
