PSG could make an offer for Mohamed Salah before long, according to reports. Their supposed valuation is insulting to Liverpool, however.
This comes from Le Parisien. They claim that Paris Saint-Germain are currently considering a post-Kylian Mbappe life at the club.
The Frenchman could leave this summer as he enters the final year of his contract. If PSG want to receive anything for one of the world’s most valuable players, they’ll probably have to sell soon.
Doing so would necessitate a replacement, of course. And that, says Le Parisien, could bring about an offer from PSG for Mohamed Salah.
He’s their dream signing, apparently, and may want a move to the French capital. That could create a difficult situation for Liverpool.

But then comes PSG’s reported valuation – £69m. If that’s their offer, they needn’t bother approaching the Reds.
PSG to bid for Mohamed Salah?
That offer is quite insulting, really. We’re talking about a player in his prime who has consistently delivered elite performances and trophies over the last few years.
Yet PSG value him under £70m? He’s worth twice that to Liverpool right now.
The Reds will want a crack at the Premier League title next year, after all. Salah would be central to that as the most reliable goalscorer at the club. If Liverpool want to secure the title, they have to do whatever they can to keep the Egyptian.
This is football, however, and selling is always an option. Liverpool appear to know that, in fact.
Bild reports that they like Jadon Sancho in case Salah leaves. They’d only afford the player by selling their star, though.
But Sancho would be available at a discount price. ESPN says Borussia Dortmund would do business at £87m – but that puts some perspective on the Salah price.
It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for Liverpool to sell Salah at a lower price than they could buy Sancho. The Englishman would be a downgrade, after all, that would leave the team weaker next season.
The fact PSG appear to think Liverpool would sell their star and weaken their team just because they’ve come calling is insulting. Especially in a year when they will want to compete for the title. And even moreso at the ridiculous price PSG appear to value him at.
If they really want Salah, they better prepare a huge offer. The only way Liverpool would consider a sale is if they can improve their team on the back of it.
At that’s just not possible at £69m.
