PSG want Mohamed Salah, according to reports. Liverpool have got to prepare their supposed plan B.
This comes from Le Parisien. They claim that Paris Saint-Germain could sell Kylian Mbappe this summer.
His contract expires within 18 months, after all – this could be their final year to get a fee for him. Losing the Frenchman would necessitate a replacement, however.
And PSG have one in mind – Mohamed Salah. They believe they could tempt him from Liverpool and he’s their ‘dream’ signing to replace Mbappe.
Salah could even be open to the move, in fact. Thus PSG may start a push for the player this summer.
Doing so could start a chain reaction and Liverpool should be ready.
PSG to sign Mohamed Salah?
Now, this all requires someone to buy Mbappe but that shouldn’t be too difficult. If PSG worry he’ll leave for free, we imagine they’ll quickly put the player on the market.
Someone will bid for him – perhaps even Liverpool. But at the very least, another European giant will risk it all to sign one of the world’s biggest talents.
Should that happen, PSG would apparently turn to Salah and make an offer to Liverpool. We can’t imagine the Reds would say yes but perhaps the Egyptian pushes for a move.
And in that case, Liverpool shouldn’t hesitate to move for their reported plan B.
Bild says Liverpool really like Jadon Sancho, something journalist Raphael Honigstein backs up. Both say the same thing, however- the Reds can’t quite afford him.

Only if they sold Salah, in fact, could they move. Well, maybe that’s a real possibility.
We can’t imagine Liverpool would force Salah to stay if he asked for a move and PSG made a big offer. Both of those things would surely have to happen, though.
Having Sancho there for a reported £87m, per ESPN, would soften the blow significantly. We do think Liverpool would be weaker for now but the assurance of a long-term superstar is pretty wonderful compensation for losing Salah.
But Liverpool should only consider accepting an offer if there is a superstar replacement lined up. Sancho does fit that bill, just about, so if PSG are serious, the Reds need to get preparations ready.
Because the one thing that can’t happen is selling Salah without a replacement lined up – and one as good as Sancho. If PSG are serious, it must result in the England man arriving at Anfield.
