Liverpool have to make a string of signings this summer. The Reds have had a dreadful season, one which has emphasised the need to sign players with more reliable fitness records. There is also the matter of replacing a key star who is on his way out. Liverpool are reportedly in talks to sign Yves Bissouma and fans are buzzing about the news.
Gini Wijnaldum departure
This summer will see the end of Gini Wijnaldum’s five-year stay at Anfield.
The Dutchman joined the Reds as a goal grabbing attacking midfielder in 2016.
Since then he has been moulded into a Jürgen Klopp midfielder: he is an all action pressing machine who wins the ball and keeps it.
Despite his obvious importance to the side the Dutchman has failed to agree terms on a new deal.

The club are purportedly unwilling to give the 30-year-old a pay hike as he enters the latter stages of his career.
As a result the club icon is set to leave on a free transfer in the summer with Barcelona looking a likely destination.
Liverpool in talks for Yves Bissouma
There are a number of players being touted as a potential replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.
According to The Sunday World, Liverpool want to sign Yves Bissouma.
Kevin Palmer has reported that the midfielder’s advisers are aware of the Reds’ interest.
The journalist has claimed that talks are underway with Brighton in an effort to bring the Malian midfielder in as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.
The 24-year-old would allegedly cost Liverpool around £35m.
Bissouma to Liverpool verdict
This would be an excellent signing for the Reds.
Yves Bissouma has proven himself in the Premier League and he is the perfect age for us.
At just 24-years-old he he still has the best part of his career ahead of him and he’s only going to get better.
Kopites will be well versed in just how good he is, he ran the midfield when we visited the Amex Stadium this season.
Although £35m may appear a bit steep we have the utmost faith in the recruitment team, they rarely get these things wrong.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on how this one develops, Brighton wanted a lofty fee for Ben White last summer.
They aren’t going to let their star midfielder leave on the cheap, hopefully Adam Lallana can talk Anfield up to him whilst the executives work out the details.
