Liverpool are going to have to have a big summer transfer window. The Reds have fallen behind this term due to the lack of quality in depth in the squad. Liverpool have been linked with a move for Pedri at Barcelona and fans are buzzing about the news.

Midfielder needed
This summer the Reds will lose Gini Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is expected to head for Barcelona.
Given that Gini has been an undroppable feature of the midfield for some five years now we will need to replace him.
The need for a replacement is exacerbated by the unreliable fitness of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Liverpool target Pedri
There are going to be dozens of players listed as potential successors to Gini Wijnaldum.
Perhaps the most exciting link yet has come from The Mirror.
The outlet has claimed that Liverpool are interested in a move for Barcelona wonderkid Pedri.
The 18-year-old is a regular fixture in the Barcelona midfield, having joined from Las Palmas at the start of the season.
He has made 22 starts and eight substitute appearances in the league so far this term, impressing with his dribbling and passing ability.
The Mirror has said that the youngster has a release clause of around £70m.
However, Barcelona are believed to be working on a new deal to fend of the Reds’ interest, hoping to insert a £350m release clause in the new contract.
Twitter reacts to rumour
Plenty of fans are excited by the youngster’s potential whilst others aren’t optimistic of the Reds’ chances of pulling the deal off.
