Report: Liverpool target Eduardo Camavinga to turn down contract

Liverpool are always associated with the best and brightest around. The Reds will be linked if a player is impressing at a young age. There’s one teenager in France set to spark a bidding war. According to David Ornstein, reported Liverpool target Eduardo Camavinga is set to reject a new contract at Rennes.

Who is Eduardo Camavinga?

18-year-old centre midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is a record breaker starring for Rennes in the French Ligue 1.

The teenager has been a permanent fixture in his side’s midfield for a couple of seasons now and has even made his senior debut for France.

A combative player, he is known for his tackling ability and concentration.

Although he most often plays in the middle he is also capable of playing as a holding midfielder.

Interest in the teenager is rife, as expected when a player is starring at the top level at such a young age.

Last season Sport in Spain claimed Liverpool are one of a number of clubs tracking Eduardo Camavinga.

The player’s agent recently claimed the youngster is ready for a move to the Premier League.

According to The Athletic, Camavinga is set to reject the offer of a new contract at Rennes.

His current deal runs until 2022, meaning he could be available on the cheap this term or he could leave on a free next summer.
