Real Madrid have another injury to worry about, according to reports. They’re struggling for number right now.
Monday saw Real Madrid confirm their squad to face Liverpool and it is littered with injury problems. We count five.
Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez and Eden Hazard are all players who had at least half a chance of playing. Instead, Real will lack them all.
Yet, that might not be all. Fede Valverde is in the squad but, according to Mundo Deportivo, he’s a real doubt.
Valverde picked up a knock against Barcelona that saw him miss team training on Monday. Instead, he went through specific work to try and rehab a blow to the sole of his foot.

This will really worry Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman already doubts his side can finish the season with any kind of strength.
“We have to rest after today,” he said on Saturday, per Marca. “It’s been two gruelling games. Now we have to rest.
“I don’t know how we’re going to finish the season. Physically, we’re at our limit.”
What RTK has to say
Liverpool have had the injury excuse all season and it’s a very legitimate one. They’re competing with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip this season. Jordan Henderson, too, is currently out long-term.
It’s left the Reds weak and unable to match full-strength teams on occasion. They’ve lacked cohesion from game to game and it’s been a huge problem.
But we’re not sure they’ve got that excuse this time around. Real will be without three of their first-choice back four. They also won’t even have their second-choice right-back.
And if Valverde isn’t fit, that’s another problem for them. Real are vulnerable, then, as Liverpool try to overcome a 3-1 deficit.
Hopefully, the Reds can take advantage this time.
