Real Madrid confirmed their squad to face Liverpool on Wednesday. Los Blancos have some serious injury worries.
Zinedine Zidane certainly won’t have his full Real Madrid squad available at Anfield this week. He’ll have to do without several key players.
Real have a 3-1 lead, of course. They’ll hope that’s enough to see off Liverpool, who picked up a rare home win at the weekend.
But Real will not have their strongest squad available, with their defence taking a huge hit.
Sergio Ramos remains absent, as does Dani Carvajal. Those were expected, however.

But Raphael Varane will miss this game after missing both the first leg and the Clasico duo to self-isolation. It means that once again, Real will make-do with their third and fourth-choice centre-backs.
Lucas Vazquez won’t play, either. He picked up a bad ankle injury against Barcelona at the weekend and that keeps him out of the squad.
Vazquez had been covering at right-back with Carvajal out. Real will now rely on Alvaro Odriozola – a player with just six appearances this season.
As for further forward, Eden Hazard is also out. He’s missed most of the season, of course, but had completed a full training session on Monday, per Mundo Deportivo.
Real, though, leave him out of their squad to face Liverpool.
What RTK has to say
Well, it certainly balances things out. Liverpool will be without Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson, of course.
But we also thought that ahead of the first leg and it didn’t prove too important.
The hope, though, is that Liverpool just didn’t take advantage of an obvious weakness, rather than Real coping okay. That would leave the door open for the Reds to correct that this time around.
But there’s certainly no way to spin this as a negative. Real missing players is only going to make things slightly easier for Liverpool – and the Reds need all the help they can get.
