Agent: Reported Liverpool target Eduardo Camavinga ready for England

Liverpool are going to have to be busy in the summer transfer window. The Reds have been ruined by injuries this term and additions will be needed to address the lack of squad depth we’ve seen this season. With one midfielder certain to leave we’ll need one to come in. Reported Liverpool target Eduardo Camavinga is ready for a Premier League move according to his agent.

Midfielder needed

This summer will surely see the arrival of at least one midfielder.

Gini Wijnaldum is heading for the exit door, likely to join Barcelona.

Jordan Henderson is heading into his 30s and we can’t rely on the fitness of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.

Given the injuries we’ve suffered this year we’ll need to sign a midfielder to ensure we aren’t left short handed again.

Liverpool target Eduardo Camavinga is ready

Over in France there’s a teenage midfielder making headlines.

Last season Sport linked Liverpool with a move for Eduardo Camavinga; the wonderkid breaking records for club and country.

The 18-year-old has been a mainstay in the Rennes midfield for two seasons now.

Speaking to The Athletic, Camavinga’s agent Jonathan Barnett said the youngster is ready for the Premier League:

“Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He is that good.

“Whether he will or not, I don’t know.

“His background has been tough if you know what he went through as a refugee and the burning of his home (in Angola).

“But his character is amazingly strong. He is not your average 18-year-old.

“Playing in front of 100,000 people is not going to scare him. He’s a lovely boy and I think he’s going to be a superstar.”

What RTK has to say

Liverpool signing Eduardo Camavinga would be a coup.

The teenager is certain to be one of the best midfielders of his generation.

He’s already bossing games in the French top flight despite his young age.

He’s only going to get better, if we don’t land him now then we likely won’t ever have him. Whoever bags him this summer will surely have him for the best part of his career.
