Liverpool have been accused of being over reliant on their full backs in recent seasons. For a few years the Reds have looked to their wing backs to provide the attack with some creative spark. We added some depth to the position over the summer but our new signing hasn’t seen much football but that could change. According to The Athletic, Kostas Tsimikas is impressing Jürgen Klopp in training.

Last summer signing depth at full back was a priority.
The Reds were putting too much faith in the fitness of Andy Robertson and that needed addressing.
The club moved to sign Jamal Lewis from Norwich City but were quoted a ridiculous asking price.
Within days of having a bid rejected by the Canaries, Liverpool swooped for Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiakos.

The Reds brought the Greek international in for £11.75m.

Since signing for Liverpool we haven’t seen much of the left back.
Injuries haven’t helped but the Greek international has made just three starts for the Reds in all competitions, one showing in the League Cup and twice in the Champions League.
The Athletic has claimed that Kostas Tsimikas has been impressing Jürgen Klopp in training, making significant progress in the eyes of the coaching staff.
