Liverpool lineup against Real Madrid this week and the Reds have a mountain to climb. A woeful first half in Madrid has left Jürgen Klopp’s men with a two goal deficit to overturn. Here is our predicted Liverpool lineup to face Real Madrid:
Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
The Brazilian probably could’ve done more to stop Aston Villa’s opener at the weekend but we will always back him in big games.
Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
The Scouser in our team did it again at the weekend, turning up when we needed him most. He could well make the difference this week.
Centre back: Nat Phillips
The Bolton Baresi had his inexperience exposed in the first leg, hopefully he’s learned his lesson.
Centre back: Ozan Kabak
The Turkish centre back looked slow in Madrid, he could make a name for himself with a strong performance in the second leg.
Left back: Andy Robertson
The flying Scotsman can pull out a relentless performance when we need it, we just need him to get forward regularly.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
Centre midfield: Fabinho
The Brazilian will need to keep the midfielders around him pressing, we need a leader.
Centre midfield: Thiago
The Spaniard is a Barcelona boy at heart, beating Madrid would mean the world to him.
Right wing: Mo Salah
The Egyptian King could be auditioning or he could be out for revenge. Either is fine with us as long as he performs.
Striker: Diogo Jota
Jürgen Klopp going for a 4-2-4 could help stifle the supply to the Real Madrid midfield, much like we saw at Manchester City.
Striker: Roberto Firmino
Bobby had a better game at the weekend, a promising sign heading into this massive tie.
Left wing: Sadio Mane
The Senegal forward was rested against Aston Villa, he should be fighting fit for this comeback.
