Liverpool reportedly ready to sign Ozan Kabak permanently

This summer the Reds have some serious business to attend to. Jürgen Klopp will need to sort out some key areas of the squad after injuries derailed the club’s title defence. According to 90Min, Liverpool are ready to sign Ozan Kabak permanently.

Centre back shuffling

We expect some movement in the centre of defence over the summer.

The Reds have seen all three senior centre backs ruled out until next season.

Although two players arrived in the winter window we aren’t convinced that the back line is settled.

There will likely be players bought and sold before a centre back roster is decided upon.

Liverpool and Ozan Kabak

One of the players to arrive in the January window was Ozan Kabak.

The Turkish defender was brought in on loan from Schalke in the Bundesliga.

There was an option in the move which allows the Reds to make the move permanent for £18m.

According to 90Min, Liverpool are ready to trigger the clause and sign Ozan Kabak permanently.

The outlet has claimed that Jürgen Klopp has been impressed with the defender’s development.

What RTK has to say

The Reds bringing the Turkish defender in permanently makes sense.

We need to get our ducks in a row as soon as possible, particularly with the Euros coming up.

Although he’s had some shaky moments, he is just 21-years-old. He will just get better and better.

He will also likely drop down the pecking order when Virgil van Dijk and co return, he’s doing well enough for a third or fourth choice.
