Liverpool batter Arsenal
Kopites really needed this result.
Liverpool have been rubbish for a few months now but with players returning from injury and stars back in their preferred positions we are starting to recover.
This weekend saw a dramatically different performance to the ones we’ve sat through since Christmas.
Diogo Jota opened the scoring as a second half substitute when he nodded home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s unstoppable cross.
Mo Salah doubled the lead when he slid the ball through Bernd Leno’s legs after muscling Gabriel out.
The third goal was lashed home by Jota after another error from Gabriel was seized upon.
Jürgen Klopp and Martin Odegaard
22-year-old attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard is on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid.
The Norwegian talent has been on the Reds’ radar since he was a teenager, even training at Melwood before opting for a move to La Liga.
Since then he’s regularly been linked with a switch to Anfield.
The Daily Star recently claimed Liverpool could swoop for Odegaard in a £50m deal.
The midfielder was largely anonymous against the Reds this weekend though there wasn’t much he could’ve done with the lack of movement around him.
