Liverpool confirm their lineup as they return to action against Arsenal this evening. The Reds will hope to make up ground in the top-four chase.
Chelsea’s shock home defeat against West Brom today opens the door for Liverpool. The Reds can go just two points off the Blues in the race for a Champions League spot.
But they’ll need to beat Arsenal – a team hoping to make a late charge for those same spots.
So here’s the lineup Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has gone for as he hopes to topple Arsenal:
Alisson – The Brazilian will be fresh after staying at home for the international break. Brazil didn’t have any fixtures.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – Will also be fresh, though we have no idea how. Shockingly omitted from the England team and has a point to prove.
Ozan Kabak – Helped his country to shock win over the Netherlands last week.
Nat Phillips – Not an international and should be raring to go as a starting centre-back.

Andy Robertson – Came in for some criticism after disappointing Scotland showings.
Fabinho – Another fresh one. Liverpool will need Fabinho at his best for the rest of the season.
James Milner – Klopp goes for more fresh legs over Gini Wijnaldum in midfield.
Thiago – Came off the bench in Spain’s first two games before sitting out the latter. Should be good to go.
Mohamed Salah – Grabbed a brace for Egypt and appears to be in good form.
Roberto Firmino – Should be fresh and ready to go after returning from injury.
Sadio Mane – Didn’t play as well as some teammates over the break but Klopp baks him for this one.
Alisson
Alexander-Arnold – Phillips – Kabak – Robertson
Thiago – Fabinho – Milner
Salah – Firmino – Mane
All in all, a solid team that should get the win today.
