Jurgen Klopp can already consider Diogo Jota a starter against Arsenal on Saturday. The Reds are back in action at the Emirates.
Liverpool will hope to kick-off the final stretch of the season with a win. They pretty much need to, in fact.
The Reds are five points off fourth-place – their minimum requirement this season. They’ll have to be virtually perfect over their remaining games to qualify for the Champions League.
And beating Arsenal becomes doubly important as they’re only five points behind Liverpool. The Reds lose and the Gunners are in that top-four race. Win and they’re never getting back in.
But Liverpool have had a problem with winning games. They just can’t consistently score goals and it’s cost them a hatful of points in 2021.

Fortunately, Diogo Jota is here to save the day and the forward must start against Arsenal.
Jota bagged a brace for Portugual against Serbia and then grabbed another against Luxembourg. That comes after scoring the winner against Wolves in his last game for Liverpool.
The £41m man is, undoubtedly, a man in form and even with the return of Roberto Firmino, Klopp must start Jota against Arsenal.
Mohamed Salah’s brace for Egypt will surely put him in the starting XI, too.
It leaves one spot available, with both Firmino and Sadio Mane competing for it. It’s not clear who to give it to, though.
Jota helps here. He can play both left-wing and centre-forward, meaning Klopp can move him to suit whoever the third man is.
But who should it be? The Mane/Jota/Salah trio worked against RB Leipzig and Wolves, which may tempt Klopp.
Firmino, though, is the only one to have had two weeks off. Brazil didn’t play, so he stayed on Merseyside.
He’s fresh, then, which may make him an invaluable selection. Add those fresh legs to the in-form Jota & Salah and you may have a winning combination.
Really, Klopp will just be happy to have the choice. He has an abundance of good options for once and that bodes very well for Saturday’s game.
