Epic encounter

These two sides know the Champions League better than most.

Real Madrid have won the competition more times than any other club.

Whilst Liverpool have won the trophy six times and have provided the competition with some of its most dramatic and memorable moments.

This month the two face off with the second leg to be played at Anfield.

Sergio Ramos injury for Liverpool games

The Reds will be without some key stars with three senior centre backs still absent, along with the club captain.

Real Madrid now have a major fitness issue of their own to deal with.

Sergio Ramos has picked up an injury which will see him miss both games against Liverpool.

The Madrid captain will be sidelined for around a month, also ruling him out of a key clash with Barcelona.

What RTK has to say

This is a game changer.

Sergio Ramos picking up a knock just before the ties with Liverpool will have Madridistas nervous.

Mo Salah will surely be disappointed that he won’t have the chance to get some proper revenge on the Spaniard but we won’t be looking a gift horse in the mouth.

This could well swing the tie in Liverpool’s favour.
