Midfield reshuffle needed

This summer will surely see a rejigging of the midfield.

Gini Wijnaldum is expected to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Meanwhile Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are yet to prove their long term, consistent availability.

The Reds need to replace Gini, particularly given how this season showed us how quickly the squad can be stretched thin.

Liverpool and Jack Grealish

A few months ago rumours started flying about of Liverpool interest in Jack Grealish.

Raphinha, Coutinho and Tielemans: The signings Liverpool could make this summer

Robbie Savage urged the Reds to consider a move for the Aston Villa captain.

There haven’t been any concrete reports of Anfield interest in the 25-year-old, however, the Reds have a reputation for surprise transfers.

Decade defining gamble

This week The Telegraph has reported that the midfielder’s price tag stands at £100m.

The 25-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s most impressive performances this season, causing his value to rocket.

He is the right age for FSG and we need a midfielder to come in, although his game is a bit further up the pitch than is ideal for us at the moment.

Despite him not fitting the system perfectly his quality is undeniable, Liverpool signing Grealish would be a gamble at £100m but it could be a decade defining move if he continues to impress for the Reds.

The Englishman could be the man to lift the midfield, to provide that spark.

Just what happens with him this summer will be interesting, we should be in the conversation at least.
