This summer we expect the Reds to add some strength in depth. Aside from moving for better backup stars the club will likely bring in some more exciting young talents, they’ve done so for the past couple of summers. According to the Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool could swoop for Michael Olise.
Who is Michael Olise?
19-year-old Michael Olise is a wonderkid making a name for himself at Reading.
The teenager has been deployed in an array of positions by the Royals this season.
He has popped up on the right and left wings, in attacking midfield and in centre midfield whilst also appearing as a striker.
Olise has been one of the stories of the Championship season, netting five goals and bagging 10 assists in 30 starts and six sub appearances.
His performances have earned him an impressive 7.06 WhoScored rating.
The Athletic reported a couple of months ago that he has a release clause of £8m.
The report quotes ex-Reading boss Jose Gomes as saying:
“He was maybe the most wonderful and fantastic talent I’ve worked with.”
