Report: Liverpool could move for Watford's Joao Pedro

This summer he’s being backed to move some more exciting talents. The Liverpool ECHO has suggested that Liverpool could move for Joao Pedro.

Who is Joao Pedro?

19-year-old Brazilian striker Joao Pedro is a regular starter for Watford.

The Hornets bagged the highly rated youngster back in 2019.

According to The Metro, Liverpool were interested in Joao Pedro before his move the Championship side.

The forward has been a mainstay in his first season of senior football.

Pedro has made 25 starts and six sub appearances this term, having to shoulder more responsibility due to injuries to Troy Deeney.

He has earned an impressive WhoScored rating of 6.97 for his performances, scoring nine goals.

This summer will surely be a busy one for the Reds.

The club are expected to add strength in depth to the squad with the front line in need of some higher quality backups.

According to the Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool could move for Joao Pedro in the summer.

The outlet has backed the Reds to use the summer to bring in some more precocious talents given the success of Harvey Elliott in the Championship.
