Liverpool have made some impressive signings during the FSG era. Few have been as impressive as the purchase of Thiago. Thomas Muller has referenced Liverpool signing Thiago when discussing his own future, dropping a transfer hint in the process.
Liverpool sign Thiago
Last summer saw one of the Reds most protracted transfer sagas of recent times.
All summer we were hearing that Liverpool wanted Thiago.
We were also hearing that they couldn’t afford him, he’s not the right age and every other excuse.
Eventually Liverpool snapped the Spaniard up for just £20m.

With only one year left on his contract the Reds bagged him at a bargain price.
Thomas Muller on Liverpool
Thiago left behind an iconic Bayern Munich side.
One of the most iconic players of the iconic side has opened up about his future.
Thomas Muller discussed Liverpool buying Thiago when discussing his future, telling The Times:
“I’m not fixed to this club. I have a special relationship, I love Bayern before I started playing for them, but when there is a situation where you have to decide maybe to play for a different club it would be no shame and no problem at all. Maybe like with Thiago [Alcantara, now at Liverpool].
What RTK has to say
Thomas Muller joining Liverpool would be the dream.
Personally, he’s my favourite active non-Liverpool player.
He makes the game look easy, just a natural understanding of the game.
Muller is always in the right place at the right time and he never looks as if he’s overly exerted himself – the type of player who when you watch him play you can convince yourself that you still have a shot.
Sadly, I can’t see him making the switch, even if he has used Thiago as an example.
