Liverpool are set to lose a key player this summer. The Reds are going to have to scour the transfer market for a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum, we didn’t replace Dejan Lovren last year and look what happened. According to reports in Italy, Liverpool are considering a move for Piotr Zielinski.
Wijnaldum replacement needed
It seems inevitable that Gini will leave this summer.
The Dutchman’s contract expires at the end of the season and the club appear no closer to agreeing an extension with him.
The midfielder understandably wants a pay rise but the club are wary due to him entering his 30s.
At the moment the most likely destination appears to be Barcelona.

Liverpool want Piotr Zielinski
It is going to be a long summer of rumours surrounding the Reds’ midfield.
According to reports in Italy, Liverpool want Piotr Zielinski from Napoli.
The 26-year-old Polish midfielder was linked with a move to Anfield back in 2016, Udinese rejecting the Reds’ £11.7m bid.
According to Kiss Kiss Radio in Italy, Liverpool are reigniting interest in Zielinski but they face competition from Pep Guardiola.
The station claimed, relayed by Area Napoli, that the Reds are paying ‘great attention’ to the midfielder.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Piotr Zielinski would make sense.
He is just 26-years-old and given the Reds’ historic interest in him he’s clearly a player the club holds in high regard.
He’s had another impressive season in the Italian top flight, bagging six goals and six assists for Napoli, recording a WhoScored rating of 7.14.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
