Liverpool have been struggling with injuries all season. The Reds have seen scores of players ruled out with fitness problems. There seems to be a curse at play with yet another blow dealt, Caoimhin Kelleher has withdrawn from the Ireland squad due to injury.
Injury hit season
This season has just been one injury after another.
The Reds have struggled to keep their squad fit for any extended period.
There’s only a handful of players who haven’t been ruled out for weeks at a time this term.
The most notable absentees have been Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, both ruled out until the 2021/22 season.

Caoimhin Kelleher injury
This international break has already dealt the Reds a fitness blow.
Caoimhin Kelleher has had to withdraw from the Ireland squad due to injury.
It is not a new problem for the goalkeeper but he has failed to recover in time for international duty which is a concern.
The Irishman has been absent for over a month with an abdominal tear.
His absence from the squad saw Adrian step into the net against Sheffield United with Alisson given time off following the tragic death of his father.
This break would likely have seen Kelleher handed a senior international debut.
First choice keeper Darren Randolph has been sidelined which opened the door for the Liverpool youngster to earn his first senior cap.
Fans are gutted for the lad and frustrated about the persistent fitness issues.
