Liverpool may have to win the Champions League to qualify for next season’s competition. The Reds have been lacklustre in the Premier League and the top four seems an uphill task as a result, Europe is the priority now. James Pearce has confirmed that Jordan Henderson is unlikely to feature against Real Madrid.
Liverpool draw Real Madrid
The quarter final draw for the Champions League was just about perfect for Liverpool.
The Reds were drawn against Real Madrid with the second leg to be played at Anfield.
Should Jürgen Klopp’s side beat the Spanish then we’ll face either Chelsea or Porto in the semi finals.
The draw was made all the better for the Reds with Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich all on the other side of the draw.

Jordan Henderson injured for Real Madrid
The Reds have been without their captain since the Merseyside Derby in February.
The skipper limped off against Everton after just half an hour.
After the game the physios ruled Hendo out for at least six weeks.
Writing for The Athletic, James Pearce has confirmed that Jordan Henderson is unlikely to be back in time to face Real Madrid.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool being without Henderson for the Real Madrid games is a massive blow.
It would have been cutting it fine getting him back in time but it looks as though the fixtures come just slightly too soon.
We’re certainly going to miss his leadership in the middle of the park, we’re going to need our players at their motivated best.
