Liverpool have had a funny old season. This campaign has been full of tragedy and surprises, we’ve fielded teams nobody would’ve thought in a million years we’d be lining up with. The club have been forced into some drastic moves, one such move has been called into question. Gabriel Agbonlahor has backed Ben Davies to leave Liverpool in the summer.
Liverpool sign Ben Davies
At the start of the season the Reds sold Dejan Lovren and decided not to replace him.
The decision backfired spectacularly with the club going through an unprecedented injury crisis this season.
Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have all been ruled out until next term.
In order to address the issues at the back the Reds made some moves in the winter window.

Liverpool signed Ben Davies from Preston North End for a fee of around £1.6m.
Gabriel Agbonlahor on Ben Davies
Davies is yet to make an appearance for the Reds since his deadline day switch.
Gabriel Agbonlahor has backed Ben Davies to move on in the summer in pursuit of regular first team football, telling Football Insider:
“It’s just a strange situation. To be brought in and basically have your career put on hold. You’re not playing or even being brought on.
“It’s very strange from Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp. If he wasn’t good enough, why buy him?
“It’s a very, very strange transfer and I’m sure he’ll be looking to leave Liverpool in the summer and go somewhere where he can play week in, week out.”
What RTK has to say
Jürgen Klopp notoriously takes his time with new signings.
Gabriel Agbonlahor may be misunderstanding the Ben Davies situation.
Though there is always the possibility that we may have signed the defender just to make a quick buck in the summer, we’d be guaranteed a profit if we sold him on.
