Liverpool aren’t enjoying their strongest season in front of goal. The Reds attacking output has been lacklustre since Christmas. Despite the dip in form we know that the front three is still made up of sheer quality. Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny has named Mo Salah as the best African player ever.

Mo Salah season
Despite the Reds poor form in front of goal in recent months, Mo Salah is still the leading scorer in the Premier League.
The Egyptian has netted 17 in the league this season, he’s also bagged three assists along the way.
The fact that he is still at the top of the goal scoring charts speaks to his quality, the Reds have barely netted a goal in the last three months.
Mohamed Elneny on Mo Salah
Salah’s quality hasn’t gone unnoticed and he’d come in for some high praise from countryman Mohamed Elneny.
The Arsenal star was recently asked who he believes to be the best African player ever.
After seeing a shortlist which included stars such as Yaya Toure and Riyad Mahrez – Mohamed Elneny picked Mo Salah, telling the club YouTube channel:
“Mohamed Salah is a legend now in Egypt and he’s still playing.
“We know that legends are usually when they finish their careers but when they’re still playing and people look at you as a legend this is something big.
“He’s a really good guy. Toure, because he’s a midfielder I know what he’s doing and I know how it’s different, because it’s more difficult than a striker. Strikers get the chance to score all the time and midfielders have to do so many things.
“But of course I go for Mohamed Salah!”
What RTK has to say
Mohamed Elneny selecting Mo Salah as the best African player ever comes as no surprise.
In Egypt he’s something of a deity, people even write his name in for elections.
If he isn’t the best African player ever yet then he certainly is on his way, his goal scoring record is phenomenal and he keeps winning trophies.
